We work with architects and designers creating art and design for commercial architecture.

In addition to on site work, designs are  translated to felt, glass, fabric and printed surfaces.

The work is purchased direct or created through a collaboration process.

Steward Healthcare

By closely working with the commercial architects and general contractors, our clients reflect most industries including civic, technology, office, hospitality and health.

In most cases, we are brought in at the beginning of the project, though sometimes we asked to create a creative solution for a challenging space towards the middle or end of the construction.

PAINT + PLASTER DESIGN

I'M AN ORIGINAL CATCHPHRASE

I’m a paragraph. Double click here or click Edit Text to add some text of your own or to change the font. This is the place for you to tell your site visitors a little bit about you and your services.

Paint, plaster, chalk, and charcoal are used to create the initial ideas for the design.

DRAWINGS, SHAPES + IDEAS

Our ideas come from a collaboration with our clients, so each design in the final stages becomes very specific to the project.

These plaster panels were generated by charcoal drawings.

WORKING ON SITE

33 Congress Street - we used a boom lift to get to the columns that were above the stair

The work can be very large scale, using lifts and scaffoldings for ceilings and double height projects, such as lobbies or theaters.

during our recent project at 33 Congress we spent a lot of time in the blue lift up 23'.

New Focus

DESIGN TO FABRICATION

2019:  We are working with fabricators creating fabric, glass, rugs and felt walls.

PURCHASE + INSTALLATION

of our fabrications

On commercial projects, the client or the contractor purchases the product directly from the fabricator. We do the preparation of the files and oversee the project when it has been customized.

LA MONTAGE FABRIC WALL INSTALLATION AT 260 FRANKLIN STREET, BOSTON. THE ARCHITECT IS STANTEC AND THE GC IS COLUMBIA. THE IDEA WAS BASED ON LATE WINTER EARLY SPRING. WE LOOKED AT THE PAINTINGS OF BRUEGAL AND PISARRO AND THEN CREATED A 4 PANELLED PLASTER ARTWORK.  THIS IS OUR FIRST LARGE SCALE PIECE - 20' X 11'. WE CREATED THE DESIGN, TRANSFERRED IT DIGITALLY AND WORKED WITH LIORA MANNE TO CREATE THE PIECE OUT OF PRESSED FELT.

IN THE SAME LOBBY SPACE WE WILL HAVE TWO GLASS WALLS CREATED BY SKYLINE GLASS IN CHICAGO AND A LARGE COMMERCIAL PAPER ART WORK (18'X 18') BOTH OF THESE PROJECTS WILL BE INSTALLED IN FEB. 2019. PLEASE EMAIL SARA@SARAEGANSTUDIOS.COM FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THIS PROJECT
