SARA EGAN STUDIOS
Derek Benedict (b. 1995) is a Brooklyn-based designer working through Forrest Commons, a practice exploring identity and craft through garments. Over time and through wear, each piece is meant to soften into something familiar, folding into the wearer's own sense of self. Classic textures, checkered shirting and washed denim, are reconsidered in updated form and proportion. Details and color are chosen with care to resist the flatness of mass appeal, offering instead a piece that settles into something personal and close to the wearer.

Shawnee Potts (b. 1994) is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work translates dreams and tales by way of symbolism and tactility. In this new body of work, Shawnee's singular technique of needlepoint embroidery is applied to sculpture, providing physicality to her previously wall-mounted process. Built within these objects ranging from needlepoint embroidery to sand-casted sculptures, Shawnee's intimate narration mirrors dreams and experiences.

Kaelee Helms (b. 1996) is a Brooklyn-based artist and interior designer. By way of her relationship to architecture, Kaelee's oil paintings offer surreal glances at domestic landscapes. Her language consisting of objects such as utensils, furniture, and window panes tells obscure narratives within the blurred context of a space. In her recent application of designing and painting a multi-panel room-divider, Kaelee introduces her two practices in the most direct manner possible, offering the experience of a painting and designed space simultaneously.

Devon Reina (b. 1996) is a Brooklyn, New York-based artist and designer. Devon's cross-disciplinary background inspires his curiosity for materiality and process. His paintings celebrate a range of versatile media, from thick paint impastos, to expressive ink washes and delicate wax pastel line-work. Across his various bodies of work, Devon is interested in how marks of color can interact with each other to suggest the illusion of depth, movement, or direction.
